HAUNTED LOVE! is a thesis brainchild written, directed, and produced by Fantasia Oslund, Kate McKnight, and Noah Duffy at Cornish College of the Arts. As seniors graduating with their BFAs in Original Works (Kate) and Acting (Fantasia and Noah), these three producers have dreamed a dream: think ghost tour meets site-specific promenade theatre meets the Love Boat, because HAUNTED LOVE! gets us lost in the familiar world of romance - only in the midst of werewolves and vampires and banshees, oh my. Hold on to your hearts, because you're about to experience interdisciplinary talent ghoulishly woven together with fresh design and a personalized audience experience.

The Impact

Today, more than ever, love is on the social brain. Every day folks in our country duke it out - those who stand by the traditional views of love in culture, and those who dare to reimagine the way that we love ourselves, each other, and the world at large. There are so many things to love, and so many ways to love them, that HAUNTED LOVE! begs some essential questions: does projecting our own love to the bodies of maniac monsters make it easier to figure out when we find the real thing? Does that even exist? Does the political static of our world leave room for love anyway?
In any arts training, extreme emphasis is placed on excellence in a particular facet of the craft. Of course this is essential, but what happens to those of us who wear many hats? What opportunity is there to reach out of our kiddie pools and jump into the ocean of possibilities to be found in boundless performance? From music composition to art installation, playwrighting to choreography, collaborators on HAUNTED LOVE! are creating for themselves the opportunity to unite diverse disciplines and celebrate the incredible possibility of artists working together.

And as always...word travels fast in the interwebs these days! Share us with your friends, your family, and everyone you meet. It's HAUNTED LOVE!, dead ahead!
